While investigating a wormhole linked to the Kree, Monica Rambeau’s powers become entangled with those of Kamala Khan and Carol Danvers. The trio team up to determine why they are swapping places with each other every time they use their powers. According to Larson, the film will dive deeper into Danvers’ character and her “complexities” after her origin story was set up in Captain Marvel (2019). Since the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), Danvers has mostly been off Earth in deep space, with Larson saying she has “kind of became a workaholic, and she lost touch with her heart and with family and friends.
