Jailer is a Tamil-language action thriller film starring Rajinikanth, the superstar of Indian cinema. The film is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. Jailer Movie Plot

The plot of Jailer revolves around Muthuvel Pandian, a retired jailer who lives happily with his family. His son Arjun Pandian, who is an Assistant Commissioner of Police, goes missing while investigating the case of missing temple idols and is presumed dead. Muthuvel Pandian decides to take matters into his own hands and tracks down the mastermind behind the idol smuggling racket, Varman, a ruthless criminal who has connections with international mafia. Along the way, he faces many challenges and enemies, but also gets support from his old friends and colleagues. The film is a gripping tale of justice, loyalty, and family, with Rajinikanth’s charisma and style shining throughout.

Jailer is the 169th film of Rajinikanth’s illustrious career and marks his second collaboration with director Nelson Dilipkumar after the hit comedy film Annaatthe (2021). The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has previously worked with Rajinikanth in Petta (2019) and Darbar (2020). The cinematography and editing are handled by Vijay Kartik Kannan and R. Nirmal respectively.
